Jingwen Sun is a proud first-generation immigrant who calls DC his home. He earned his undergraduate degree from The George Washington University in 2014, double-majoring in International Affairs and Economics. Jingwen later graduated from the University of Maryland's Smith School of Business in 2017 with a degree in Supply Chain Management.
Driven by a passion for public service and community, Jingwen co-founded LightHouse DC in 2017 and has since served as its Director of Operations. LightHouse is a nonprofit organization that provides housing assistance to low-income and formerly unhoused residents of DC. Through his work with LightHouse, Jingwen has gained extensive experience collaborating with the DC government and supporting neighbors in need. Before starting LightHouse, he worked with Voice of America, former Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, and on local DC campaigns. Jingwen and his wife enjoy taking walks in the neighborhood after lunch and dinner. He is an avid rock climber and has picked up various hobbies, including woodworking, landscaping, and gardening.
